Lala was designed to be a long lasting, light, and refreshing signature fragrance. When you first wear Lala, you'll notice the distinct citrus scents of grapefruit and bergamot (top notes). Over the next 20 - 30 minutes you'll experience the greens and floral families (middle notes) of jasmine, orchid, and green tea begin to say "Hello". An hour and a half to two hours later the floral "hello" gradually turns into "goodbye" and you'll catch the combined oriental scents of white musk and sandalwood (base notes). An hour after the base notes are present is when you'll want to reapply Lala, and enjoy the whole experience all over again!

There is something special about your sense of smell. The scents you pick up through your nose send messages right to the part of your brain that govern moods and certain emotional responses. Fragrances For Life uses the emotions, moods, and personal affects of our sense of smell to create fragrances inspired by real women.

Lala was inspired by a school teacher whose everyday life is full of showing non-stop support to her students, community, husband, friends, and family. The woman responsible for this inspiration showed personal traits and emotions we believe the Fragrances For Life community can relate to.  

As a teacher with an busy social and home calendar her life goes from moving a mile a minute, to taking time to slow down and enjoy herself. The traits and emotions that she feels in her everyday life are Confidence, Excitement, Relaxation and Happiness. Fragrances For Life worked with her to map these feeling and emotions to fragrances in our library and created Lala.

Fragrant Oils

Bergamot: The aroma is basically citrus, yet fruity and sweet with a warm spicy floral quality, and is reminiscent of Neroli and Lavender oil. Family: Citrus/Fruity, Greens Note: Most often used as a Middle note. Strength: This fragrance oil is considered Medium in strength. Type: Essential Oil (Phthalate Free)

Grapefruit: A beautifully fresh, sweet citrus smell that is very characteristic of the fruit. Family: Citrus/Fruity Note: Most often used as a Middle note. Strength: This fragrance oil is considered Medium in strength. Type: Fragrance Oil (Phthalate Free)

Jasmine: Jasmine has a smooth, extremely intense floral smell that is both sweet and lingering. Family: Floral, Oriental Note: Most often used as a Middle note. Strength: This fragrance oil is considered Strong in strength. Type: Essential Oil (Phthalate Free)

Orchid: A complex combination of gardenia, rose, violet, ylang ylang floral fragrances and heart notes of mimosa, cinnamon, pine, musk and amber. Family: Floral Note: Most often used as a Middle note. Strength: This fragrance oil is considered Strong in strength. Type: Fragrance Oil (Phthalate Free)

Green Tea: A very crisp and complex blend capturing the fresh aroma of green tea with long lasting sweet and citrusy middle notes. Finishes off with soft and subtle herbaceous undertones. Family: Greens. Note: Most often used as a Base note. Strength: This fragrance oil is considered Strong in strength. Type: Fragrance Oil (Phthalate Free)

Sandalwood: Sandalwood has a rich, balsamic, sweet fragrance with delicate wood notes that add to it's reputation as a luxurious and exquisite oil. Family: Woody, Oriental. Note: Most often used as a Base note. Strength: This fragrance oil is considered Medium in strength. Type: Fragrance Oil (Phthalate Free)

Olfactory Families

• Fruity: These fragrances capture the sparkling freshness and fruitiness of citrus oils such as bergamot, mandarin, lemon and pink grapefruit. Fruity fragrances are pleasing to the nose, notes of apple, berry, mango, peach, and other sweet fruits fall into this refreshing category. Fruit notes add an exuberance and charm to a fragrance and are most often blended with florals. A lot of citrus fruit scents tend to be top notes.
• Greens: Green tea leaves, green grass, fresh herbs, vines and leafy scents give these fragrances a clean, sporty attitude. This family blends well with florals and woods and occasionally sweet vanillic notes. Designer fragrances considered to be in the green fragrance family are Bvlgari Green Tea, Guerlain Acqua Allegoria Herba Fresca, Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit, Diptyque Eau de Lierre, Aliage and Gucci Envy.
• Floral: Pretty and feminine, florals are the most popular family used in fragrances. Think of fresh cut flowers. In this family, many perfumes are created with only one type of flower – such as rose, violet or jasmine. Floral fragrances tend to have a distinctive feminine quality, although many fragrances containing floral notes are appearing in men’s cologne. They combine wonderfully with oriental, aquatic or fresh green families. This family can also be further divided into five subfamilies, such as floral fruity, floral oriental, floral water, floral green, and floral aldehyde. Some other popular floral scents we carry are plumeria, gardenia, lilac, lily of the valley, tuberose and ylang ylang.
• Oriental: Warm and sensuous, oriental fragrances are reminiscent of the exotic spices and sweet resins of the East. Fragrant clove, cinnamon, caraway, black pepper mingle with the sweetness of vanilla and hints of amber. Oriental fragrances also combine these spicy notes with floral accords such as jasmine and ylang-ylang, creating scents that wrap you in the magic of far away lands. Guerlain's Shalimar, Chanel Coco and Calvin Klein Obsession are classic orientals.

Directions

• Use the applicator attached to the cap of the sample vial to dab Lala on the desired area of your body. FL recommends both the upper and lower parts of your neck and wrists
• As the level of Lala in the sample vial gets lower and lower, remember to lightly shake it so that an appropriate amount attaches to the applicator
• Lala is designed as a long lasting fragrance. Remember to reapply every 2 - 3 hours to maintain the scent
• Remember to keep out of reach of small children
